Alkaline Foods for Conception

Cervical mucous needs to be alkaline for sperm to survive and fertilise the egg, if theĀ  mucous becomes acidic it may be hostile for the sperm, preventing fertilisation.

To maintain the alkaline environment, 70-80% of of diet needs to be alkaline.

Highly alkaline foods include; Alfalfa grass, Barley Grass, Cucumber, Kale, Spinach, Avocado

Other alkaline foods include; All green vegetables, almonds, figs, lemons, limes and grapefruit

Highly acidic foods (which may reduce fertility) include: meat, dairy, alcohol, caffiene and sugar.

When makingĀ  a meal, cover 3/4 of your plate in alkaline foods and only 1/4 in acidic foods.
